The opportunity
I bring to you, Lions, is this:
Will you not help me hasten the day when there shall be no preventable blindness; no little deaf, blind child untaught; no blind man or woman unaided? I appeal to you Lions...Will you not constitute yourselves Knights of the Blind in this crusade against darkness |
| Purpose:
Recognize Persons or organizations in the community which advance Helen
Keller's charge to the Lions to be her Knights of the Blind.
Donation: $750 Documentation: Application available upon request Funds Distribution: 100% of the funds collected from Helen Keller Fellowships are directed solely to eyeglass recycling/eye care for the needy (less the cost of the plaque ($165)). |
